2000

  • TV Reporter Melanie Siben founds Media 4 Humanity with fellow media professionals
  • Close to 400 people attend Media 4 Humanity's first fundraiser: Swing Voter's Election Party

2001

  • M4H becomes a 501(c)-3
  • Hundreds of media professionals from TV, radio, print, advertising, and the internet join our organization

2002

  • M4H's first youth event: "All Children are Our Children" at the United Nations
 

2003

  • Our first humanitarian mission is led by Fox TV star Zora Andrich who takes medical supplies and toys to orphans in Serbia
  • Our first celebrity toy drive is led by Billy Taylor, radio sports announcer and former NY giant
  • M4H expands its mission and adopts the cause of child trafficking in America

2004

  • M4H forms affiliations with the NY Foundling Hospital and several other local organizations
  • M4H successfully completes 15 empowerment activities, reaching out to over 1000 children in the NYC area

2005

  • M4H hosts the nation's 1st international conference on child slavery affecting America: the Children in Chains Conference.
  • M4H adopts Community School 134 in the Bronx to implement our literacy programs and sensitize our volunteers to issues affecting at-risk children.
 

2006

  • M4H sponsors survivors of human trafficking to speak at local universities

2007

  • M4H celebrates its 5th anniversary bringing 300 at-risk children as VIPs to the annual NYC Marathon

  • M4H's Passover campaign urges America's influential rabbis to insert the issue of modern-day slavery into their sermons

 

2009

  • M4H accepts its 200th intern since creating one of the largest and most popular internship programs in NYC
